Toyota Unveils New Tacoma Variant in 2012

You may remember our earlier report on an update coming to the Toyota Tacoma. The best-selling pickup truck from our favorite Japanese automaker features a few changes in its 2012 model year, but rest assured it's still one incredible vehicle. Like the rest of the automotive world, we here at Beaman Toyota have nothing but praise for the Tacoma, and apparently the people at Toyota have noticed.

More specifically, Toyota recently announced a new variant of the 2012 Tacoma that is sure to wow truck enthusiasts around the world. It's the rugged and powerful 2012 Toyota Tacoma T/X Baja Edition, and it was first shown off at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.

"It's the type of truck that will shine in a Texas ranch environment, or on a Midwest hunting trip, off the highway in a California desert, or anywhere, east or west, where the roads are rugged," said Toyota division boss Bob Carter.1

To ensure that the Toyota Tacoma Baja is truly capable in any off-roading situation, it has been fitted with the TRD Off-Road package. This means it features electronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control, Hill Start and Downhill Assist Controls. Another addition that we think spices up this Tacoma variant are Goodrich T/A KO tires wrapped around off-road wheels in a gunmetal gray and Baja Series graphics.

Of course, we still think that it's impossible to go wrong when you drive the Tacoma, regardless to trim level. You can test drive the Tacoma, or any other new Toyota, at 1525 Broadway (Downtown Nashville) Nashville, TN 37203. You can arrange a test drive simply by contacting us online or by phone at (888) 224-8350.

Or, if you want to learn everything that you can about models like the Toyota Sequoia, Toyota Matrix, and Toyota Avalon ahead of time, then make sure to have a look at our online Toyota inventory and showroom pages. Once there, you'll be able to calculate financing; compare specs, models, and trim levels; and even consider how to keep your next ride running like new for years to come through our amazing Toyota parts and Toyota service/repair departments.
