Toyota Outlines Changes for Land Cruiser in Japan

If you've been paying attention to the world of SUVs lately, then you may have noticed them becoming smaller and smaller, as the word crossover takes over with the general public. While we here at Beaman Toyota fully support this notion, we know that there are many drivers out there who still want a solid full-size SUV for whatever obstacles come their way. That's why we'd like to take some time to go over some updates that Toyota is planning to make to their full-size offering, the Land Cruiser.
Going into its 2012 model year, Toyota is revamping the Land Cruiser in a big way. The vehicle has been given a new design that's more in line with the styles of certain American and British off-roaders. This is a smart move if you ask us, as these vehicles do admittedly often carry a certain rugged appeal to them. This boxy design is seen throughout the vehicle's body, but it's easily most noticeable in the front, where its grille has been overhauled.
The grille itself boasts thin, horizontal chrome lines that blend into the new headlights. This design is both slick and aggressive, and it complements the overall design language that Toyota has adopted in redesigning the vehicle.
As for the inside... Toyota actually hasn't changed a whole lot here. The inside of the current Land Cruiser is near perfection, so Toyota saw no real reason to fix what clearly isn't broken. They did however, add a few slight changes that don't impact the overall design. These include new color schemes for the upholstery, graphics on the instrument panel, and an enhanced TFT screen.
